Copy text easy with Chibaku for one tap copy.

“How do you copy text on your laptop,” I ask a friend. He looks back at me, confused.

I ask him to show me how he copies text.

He opens a random news article, struggles to place his cursor over the first letter and then drrraaaagggggssss it all the way to where the paragraph ends.

Then, he hits ctrl + C on his keyboard.

Job done.

He raises his eyebrows to signal, “Yeah, there you go, I guess?”

When the Rupee sign (₹) was new, I saw a professional marketer I highly respect copy the symbol from Google, paste it in his Notepad and then use it wherever he needed it instead of the previously used Rs.

This is where I thought to myself, “Too complicated, too many steps.”

We often have text that we regularly use.

Emails, hashtags, code snippets, affiliate links, etc.

If you have to send any of those across to someone, here’s how you will likely do it:

  1. Save it in the Notes app, drag it and then copy.
  2. Again, save it in the Notes app and use the menu to copy it.

It takes too much time!

What seems like a “first world problem” is simply what can be minimized for better work efficiency.

This is why I came up with the idea for Chibaku — One Tap Copy.

Here is how it works:

  1. Create five boards for different uses.
  2. Choose one board and add text you will reuse.
  3. Save it.
  4. One tap to copy it. Two tap to edit it.
  5. Send it to whoever asked.

This saves a few seconds when compared to finding text, selecting/dragging & then hitting copy, before finally pushing it to where you need it to be.

Is it life changing? Maybe not.

Does it save your time? By a little.

You can try Chibaku — One Tap Copy ☝ and let us know how you feel about it.

This micro productivity tool has helped us share links, hashtag clusters and code snippets easily.
